Even though I consider myself a creative, I have moments where I, well, don’t create.
I talk about this in another post, A Stuck Creative. And when I get stuck…I get really stuck. All the more reason to challenge myself. This year, I decided to participate in Inktober.
If you’ve never heard of it, Inktober is a monthlong challenge that takes place every year in the month of October. It was created by Jake Parker and each day has a prompt.
You don’t have to follow the prompts that Parker suggests, but since I was in a creative rut, it was great to have a guide.
I posted every day on my Instagram and Twitter and had to the other of seeing others do the challenge, too. It was a great opportunity to stretch myself over 31 days. I chose to chronicle the life of a young woman and her cat.
I’m really excited to do Inktober for 2017. But until then, check out the gallery below to see what I ended up creating.
